This Lovejoy/Sier-Bath hub is for use on a Lovejoy/Sier-Bath Mite series flexible coupling assemblies and is made of iron sintered with powdered metals for strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. It generates a low level of friction for lubrication-free operation and its teeth help to distribute torsional load across the sleeve, reducing wear and extending service life. Lovejoy/Sier-Bath Mite series flexible couplings are suitable for use in various light to medium duty industrial coupling applications, including generators, pumps, compressors, stepper drives, and power drives, among others.Flexible couplings are used to link two rotating shafts that are not aligned in order to transmit the rotational power, known as torque, from one shaft to the other.
